overall, i am happy with my samsung skundbar setup. the sound is fairly deep and rich. however, it's all way over-priced. these speakers while weighty, are very quiet (even at 6) and are complicated to set up. even with a compatible samsung tv and soundbar, they won't show as connected. they are and i can control them via the sound bar remote, but that shouldn't be. a picky thing, but the power cables are way to short.

my plan was to wall mount these rear speakers. unfortunately, samsung has decided not to support this option by failing to provide mounting brackets/kit. they state the don't produce and to get third-party equipment. they provide the specs (17.6 lbs. load bearing requirement). i have not been able to find any vendor's mounting hardware that states it will handle that weight. i contacted samsung and they have no recommendations for a vendor. since i can't find a vendor and apparently samsung cannot find a vendor, i do not think they should be advertising these as wall-mountable. come on samsung - you can do better!
how do they sound - don't know as they are sitting on the floor behind recliners.

Samsung i tried all the settings you described in this topic..please read my review.Tried with the rear speakers level from the sound bar..dst..etc.The rear speakers are still really low in volume..we should have the option to reply.I couldn't find that

i set up the volume ( described in this topic by samsung tried all 3 ways )..no chance.paired with q800a.the volume is really low.
i have a lg sounbar with spk rear speakers and if i turn low all the volumes from the sound bar you can hear the rear speakers nicely but no way with swa-9500 or q800a.the sound is too low and no way to spend the £250 on them.save your money
they are much bigger then the spk and barely you can hear them

i recently purchased a hw-q600a 3.1.2ch soundbar w/ dolby atmos / dts:x (2021) soundbar and i attempted to pair my new speakers for hours with no success. i tried every method possible and sat waiting on the phone for an hour with the team and the speakers blinked blue very fast but would never connect to the soundbar. i am very disappointed and do not plan on buying speakers from samsung again. i thought this was a great idea to get more sound in my living room but terrible design/execution by the speakers. i easily set up and paired my soundbar to my tv but these speakers do not connect at all to my sound bar not matter what i tried. sincerely disappointed.

i ordered the 9500s rear firing speakers to pair with my 2021 q800a soundbar. connected relatively easily, but adjustments were difficult and hard to find. while many of the reviews site compatibility with older soundbars as their main complaint it very clearly states which models this does and does not work with. my main disappointment with these speakers is their very poor/weak drivers and quiet sound at best. and yes i went through all the troubleshooting steps and verified them with customer support over the phone. these speakers look cool enough and are well built, but at $249-300 its not even close to worth it. incredibly poor performance, just the slightest bit noticable with 5.1 content. honestly had a hard time discerning if they were turned on most of the time.

Dear Samsung - please amend your policy of not allowing this product to be compatible with 2020 model soundbars, something that you can fix very easily via a firmware update. You will find sales of this product will increase significantly if you do. Thanks in advance.

i was shopping for rear speakers for my 1 year old (or less) q800t soundbar. unfortunately, samsung has chosen to not make these speakers compatible with a soundbar from last year. it is clear that there is no hardware reason for this decision, and a small firmware upgrade would permit compatibility. i think all the consumers who bought sound bars from samsung a year ago would be considerably happier with these speakers over the alternative 9100s speakers that i haven't tried yet. please show you support your products and provide a firmware upgrade to enable compatibility with the 9500s. thank you.

i like the upgraded rear speakers compared to the previous series. the added upfire for the rear is perfect and welcomed. the bonus is having the wireless. the negative star is for not having a longer power cord and no rear wall mount hardware. overall a great purchase and design.

i honestly don't understand the previous poor reviews for this product. these are designed to be used with 2021 qled tv's and 2021 q soundbars. no point to buy them otherwise. when you use them with compatible products, they are terrific. i am using them with a 2021 samsung 80a-qled and a 2021 samsung q700a soundbar. ---- pros: they pair easily and flawlessly. it took me less then 5 minutes and only 2 steps to pair them to the soundbar. i love that they are truly wireless, with no wires having to go between the speakers. they sit on my endtable and are neat (not messy) with no wires hanging all around. a seperate power cords comes for each speaker. the sound is adequate. i mainly watch streaming moviesi have not used them for gaming on my ps4 as of yet.

this rear surround speaker does exactly what is advertised however not what you expect.
1. important. this new speaker only works with select (new) samsung sound bars. unlike other surrounds, it has up-firing dolby atmos ability. (on paper)
2. completely wireless as advertised. about the size of a sonos one.
3. sound- provides a subtle (even turned all the way up) surround effect. it does work. however, the difference between having and not having them is... minor.
4. no sound!? if you are watching non-surround content (which is mostly everything) the speaker will not make any sound. you can force audio by putting your sound bar into virtual surround mode.
do i recommend? no. not at this price. if you find them for $150 and you just have money to burn, go for it!

hi, i really like the idea of upgrading the q900t with an 2.0.2 system, but at this moment it's not compatible at all.. i don't know the exact hardware structure built in to the soundbar but i do not think that it is that hard to make it possible with an firmware update.. of course samsung is an tech company an they rely on sells, but since the 2020 models aren't that old yet - i mean 1 year isn't that much even though tech is an pretty fast developing branch - i can't understand why the 2020 models won't support those rear atmos speakers and only the 2021 will. since there is no support yet for the "older" 2020 models i will give them just one star. happy to hear some updates if there will be any or even if the 2020 models will be support them in future.

i had recently purchased a hw-a60m/za sound bar and before i did it i made sure that it was able to be paired with rear speakers. even samsung web site said these and the swa-9100s are able to to be pair with the sound bar i bought. this must not be the case. i can not get them to pair with the sound bar. would like to for sure know if the will work or not before i return them. i love samsung tv and home audio but with this experience i will say, not a good job at all of making it clear on what items are compatible or not as there is conflicting information when looking up the sound bar and looking up the rear speakers. i would rather return the speaker than spend 2 to 3 times as much for a sound bar that is compatible with them. would like to know if the 9100 would work or same issue.

last year i bought a q850 soundbar and recent chats with samsung confirmed that the 9500 is compatible. after about 30 minutes of following instructions and error instructions they still would not connect. chatted with samsung- no help. they closed my chat (another 20 minutes) after sending me back to the same website i started on with them. called crutchfield for help and they tried but still does not work. i did a factory reset, checked all firmware and started from scratch to no avail. sending them back and replacing with another, more reliable brand.

received these speakers as part of a free upgrade to a q900a. they would not pair to the soundbar and support was absolutely useless.
i am still waiting after over an hour on the phone to get a pair of speakers that might work.
if my experience is anything to go by these speakers are a disaster. do not purchase

these speakers were overly hyped up. i purchased a new compatible soundbar to go with them and the sound quality was not much better than my old soundbar with the swa-9000s speakers. i emailed samsung and they never replied, big disappointment.
